Snohomish County Youth Chorus - Snohomish, WA

Overview

The Snohomish County Children's Choir was founded in 1999 by Shelly Logan to supplement public, private, home, school, and church music programs by providing a challenging setting for outstanding young singers to further their choral education. Upon the retirement of Mrs. Logan in 2014, SCCC became a branch of the Everett Chorale Association, and in 2016 became the Snohomish County Youth Chorus. Today SCYC is a not-for-profit, non-auditioned, community-based youth chorus dedicated to the artistic and personal development of all children and youth who love to sing. Our goal is to offer affordable, high-quality vocal instruction and outstanding performance opportunities to young people residing in Snohomish County and beyond.

SCYC is divided into three choral ensembles:

  • Primo - Kindergarten - Grades 2/3
  • Cantare - Grades 3/4 – 6/7
  • Bella Coro - Grades 7/8 - 12

SCYC choirs love to perform for events and organizations throughout our community. Performance highlights from recent seasons include: Argosy Christmas Ship, Washington Oakes Senior Living, The Lights of Christmas at Warm Beach, Hartley Mansion recital, and several others. If you would like to request the choir to sing for your organization or event, please contact us.

SCYC is affiliated with the National Association for Music Education, the Washington Music Educators Association, the Snohomish County Music Project, and is a proud member of the Greater Seattle Choral Consortium.
